Emma was born and raised in New York, and graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Chinese studies and education. During her college years, she discovered a love for radio broadcast and hosted a variety of talk shows centered around music at WHRW Binghamton for four years.
In 2016, Emma studied abroad through a TUSA scholarship at National Cheng Kung University in Tainan for two months. She fell in love with the Taiwanese culture and people, and decided that after she finished her university studies, she wanted to move back and continue her adventure in Taiwan.
Emma lived in Tainan for three years, studying Chinese and teaching English, before moving to Taipei to start working at RTI. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing guitar, cooking vegetarian food, and doing yoga.
