According to Ambassador Andrea Bowman, Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), there are currently around 130 Vincentians living in Taiwan. 80-100 of them are students and the rest are engaged in various professions across the country including in banking, education and ICT sectors. SVG Alumni Association was established in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) many years ago and they provide Vincentian students who wish to study in Taiwan counseling and step by step guidance as to what they need to do before and after they arrive in Taiwan. Asked about Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ support for Taiwan to take part in the international organizations such as the WHO (World Health Organization), Ambassador Andrea Bowman said saint Vincent has always shown support for Taiwan adding that the exclusion of Taiwan is inhumane. ”How can an organization that advocates health for the world exclude the 23 million people of the world?” she said.
