In November 2018, Taiwan Fact-check Center (TFC), the first in Taiwan to win International Fact-checking Network (IFCN) certification, 53rd in the world and then in October 2019 and in March 2021, Taiwan Fact-check Center won the second and the third certification respectively. This has proven Taiwan Fact-check Center has met the code principles of the International Fact-checking Network (IFCN). Taiwan Fact Check Center (TFC) was founded in August 2018 and is a private organization and is subject to public criticism. So any mistakes in information need to corrected and open corrections policy is one of the code principles required by International Fact-checking Network (IFCN). Summer Chen, chief editor of Taiwan Fact-check Center (TFC) said TFC faces a lot of challenges such as building a bigger team with news reporting and journalism background, gaining more public trust as it is a young non-profit organization.
