Taiwan’s air force is set to move the location where its fighter pilots undergo F-16 training.
Taiwanese pilots have long traveled to Luke Air Force Base in the US state of Arizona to train in the operation of F-16’s. However, the base is set to be converted for use by F-35’s. From 2020 to 2021, Taiwan’s air force will begin transferring its F-16 training program to Tuscon Airport, which is also in Arizona.
The move is projected to cost somewhat over US$8 million.
