The 2019 Taiwan Healthcare Expo has kicked off in Taipei.
Hospitals and medical research institutions are presenting some of the latest technologies and medical equipment at the event. A major focus of this year’s exhibit is the integration of artificial intelligence into medical equipment and treatment processes.
A standout development is the use of artificial intelligence in enteroscopies. Doctors from several hospitals say the technology can be used to capture tens of thousands of photos quickly and sort through the resulting information. They say this has helped them locate intestinal polyps faster and more accurately.
Applications for artificial intelligence have also been developed for is other medical procedures, including surgeries and the care of test tube babies.
