A documentary about the late American dancer Merce Cunningham will be shown in Taiwan in January 2020. The film incorporates an interview on how I-Ching, an ancient Chinese divination text, influenced his work.
This year marks Cunningham’s 100th birthday. He was at the forefront of American modern dance for more than 50 years. He was well known for his frequent collaboration with outstanding artists from other fields, including American musician John Cage and pop artists Andy Warhol and Robert Rauschenberg.
