Taiwan has announced 23 new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases Taiwan has reported so far up to 100.
The announcement came from the government’s Central Epidemic Command Center during a Wednesday afternoon press conference. During the press conference, command center’s head, Health Minister Chen Shih-chung said that all but two of the cases were brought into Taiwan from overseas.
One of the local cases involves a person without any recent travel history. This patient is not known to have come in contact with anyone else with a recent travel history. The government is working to uncover the source of infection in this case.
