COVID-19: Number of Taiwan cases reaches 363

Government officials announce the latest new COVID-19 cases at a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

Taiwan reported eight new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. The addition of these new cases brings Taiwan’s total so far up to 363.

The government’s Central Epidemic Command Center says that all eight cases are imported, brought in by people with a recent history of travel to countries including the US, Morocco, Austria, and the Czech Republic.The patients who had recently been to Morocco and Europe are part of two clusters of infection that affecting two recently-returned tour groups. Health authorities have tested members of both tour groups for COVID-19, and several members of both groups are still awaiting results.
