Taiwan has seen another imported COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 495.

The Central Epidemic Command Center said on Tuesday the case in question is a Taiwanese woman who worked in France for a long time.

In late August, the patient was developing symptoms including a headache and muscle pains while she was in France. She was diagnosed with the flu later and her situation improved after taking medication.

However, she tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, two days after returning to Taiwan. She has been in quarantine and hospitalized since she tested positive for the virus.

Health authorities said 21 passengers who sat two rows in front of and behind her seat on the plane have all been asked to stay in home quarantine.
