Health Minister Chen Shih-chung says that certain people who have already received a dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine may get the BioNTech vaccine for their second dose. Chen reported on Thursday that this is possible because Taiwan is now receiving a steady supply of BioNTech vaccine doses.

Eligibility to mix vaccines will begin with the start of the thirteenth round of vaccinations at the beginning of November. The option to mix vaccines will be open to people who received their first AstraZeneca dose over ten weeks ago.
