The peaks of Hehuanshan are covered in fog and light rain, but not the snowfall that many visitors were hoping for.
Some tourists say they got up at the crack of dawn to drive up to these peaks. Although people certainly feel chilly even under their winter coats, the temperature still hasn't dropped enough to bring any snowflakes.
It's important for visitors who travel to these mountains to remember that even when there may not be snow, roads and trails can still get icy and slippery.
These peaks are over 3,000 meters above sea level, so they're the best chance these visitors have to get a glimpse of some pure, white snow. However, the people were disappointed that the temperature only dropped to six degrees Celsius during the day, so it looks like they're out of luck this time.
Still, they shouldn't give up hope for the rest of the season - temperatures will continue to drop and the mountains may turn into a winter wonderland in the near future.
