Taiwan’s health authorities announced on Saturday that certain groups of people will be eligible for additional vaccine booster shots starting May 16.
The groups included in this round of supplementary vaccinations are considered high-risk. They include seniors over the age of 65, those living in long-term care facilities, patients suffering from a range of chronic illnesses, people who have received organ transplants, patients on dialysis, and people with compromised immunity.
Only those who have received their third vaccine dose at least five months prior will be eligible for the additional shots.
Four brands of COVID-19 vaccines will be available to patients: Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Medigen, and Novavax.
