Taiwan reported 46,484 COVID-19 cases and 57 deaths on Thursday. Of the new cases, 61 are imported.
Of the domestic cases, 9,281 were reported in New Taipei City, 844 were reported in Keelung City and 1,126 were reported in Yilan County. Those were the top three areas in terms of number of cases for population density.
Of those who died, 38 were men and 19 were women. They ranged in age from under five years old to over 90 years old. They had all been reported as severe cases.
Taiwan has reported a total of 6,731,939 cases of COVID-19 and 11,337 deaths.
