Taiwanese athlete Lin Yu-ting (林郁婷) has won the gold medal in the women’s 57kg boxing final, despite ongoing controversy over her gender and eligibility. She delivered a commanding performance against Poland’s Julia Szeremeta, winning 5-0.

At 175 cm, Lin leveraged her height advantage to control the match, employing a calm and strategic approach throughout. Her effective defensive counterattacks left Szeremeta unable to mount any significant offense. The judges awarded Lin all three rounds, resulting in a decisive 5-0 victory.

Following the match, Lin kissed the ring and celebrated with her coach Tseng Tzu-chiang (曾自強). Her triumph not only earned Taiwan its first Olympic boxing gold but also highlighted her resilience and skill amid the surrounding controversy.
