A Taiwanese delegation attended the Drone Industry Business Forum in Vilnius, Lithuania Thursday, where it signed two more MOUs concerning international cooperation and investment in the drone industry. The forum was hosted by both the Lithuanian Foreign Affairs Ministry and Innovation Bureau, attracting nearly 40 drone companies from Lithuania and Ukraine, in addition to the nearly 20 Taiwanese companies in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) said that Taiwan actively promotes strategically significant industrial development. He said the visiting delegation would work with like-minded partners to explore business opportunities and demonstrate Taiwan's commitments to jointly building a drone supply chain. Lin also pointed out that cooperation between Taiwan and Lithuania has made rapid progress across various fields in the three years since the establishment of Taiwan’s Lithuanian representative office.

Lithuanian Defense Vice-minister Monika Koroliovienė echoed this, saying that cooperation with Taiwan is not limited to defense, but also along the lines of shared values and people, stressing that Lithuanian support for Taiwan will not change under different administrations.

At the event, delegation leader and Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Hu Kai-Hung (胡開宏) signed two MOUs both with the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association: one on behalf of the Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunities Alliance, and another on behalf of the Taiwan Defense Industry Development Association.

By signing, all parties aim to build a cooperative platform promoting bilateral investment, further enhancing their competitiveness in drone technology and international trade.
