Asian equities were mixed on Tuesday with Chinese shares leading the declines. That’s because economic data showed that money supply in the world’s second largest economy grew its weakest pace in more than a decade.

In Taiwan, share prices closed up higher as the bellwether electronics sector posted gains on markets in the United States overnight. The TAIEX closed up 59.29 points, or 0.66%, to end at 8,889.44.
