MAC: Cross-strait offices should respect each other's laws
SEF Chairman Lin Join-sane

The Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) said on Thursday that top Chinese and Taiwan officials held their 6th talks about setting up offices in each other's territory.

Officials from Taiwan's semi-official Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) and China's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) agreed on some principles for establishing the offices. They agreed that the personnel should not be involved in each other's domestic affairs or intelligence gathering. They should also respect the laws of each other's country.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) Lin Join-sane will lead a delegation to attend a business forum in Nantong, Jiangsu Province in May.
