Nine Taiwanese films are among the 150 films to be screened at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival this month. That’s the word from the culture ministry. The ministry is urging audiences in the United States to go and see them.

The films are the romantic comedy 100 Days, the drama Ice Poison, and the short films All the Splendor of the Years, Maquette 1:1000, Before Summer Rain, Down by the Creek, Home, A Day in Paradise, and the animated film Little Green

Taiwanese films have won grand jury awards in both 2012 and 2013.

The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival will run from May 1 to May 11. May is Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month. The festival has presented nearly 4,000 films since 1983.
