Human rights groups will host a global online audio conference in May about the Tiananmen Square Massacre. That was the word from the Taiwan Association for China Human Rights and Federation for a Democratic China on Tuesday.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Incident. The human rights groups will host a global online audio conference on May 31 from 8am to 2pm on Paltalk and RaidCall.
This global web platform will enable people from all over the world to listen and express their opinions. Federation for a Democratic China President Sheng Xue said that the purpose of the conference is to overcome the restrictions in China’s freedom of speech, press and Internet.
Taiwan Association for China Human Rights Chairman Yang Sen-hong is calling on President Ma Ying-jeou to participate in the online forum. Yang said if Taiwan doesn’t give China its democracy, China will give Taiwan its authoritarian system.
