Travel website Hotels.com has placed Taipei at 24th place on its “sandwich index”. The index compares the average cost of a club sandwich in hotels around the world to give travelers a look at how expensive it is to visit different cities.
In order to come up with the latest figures, the website chose 840 hotels with a rating of three stars or higher in 28 cities around the world.
Taipei moved up two places on the list, from 26 to 24 since the previous evaluation last year. Rising prices have set the average cost of a club sandwich in a Taipei hotel up from $11.37 to $12.41.
