Taiwan’s Cabinet is set to hold a conference on March 9th following the latest reshuffle which brings new faces to six Cabinet positions.
Handover ceremonies are expected to take place this week for incoming Interior Minister Chen Wei-zen, as well as the new head of the Environmental Protection Administration. The Cabinet’s new Ministry of Science and Technology is also set to begin operations on Monday.
Cabinet spokesman Sun Lih-chyun said Sunday that the purpose of the Cabinet meeting scheduled for next Sunday is for new and old Cabinet members to share their experiences. Premier Jiang Yi-huah is also set to share his expectations for the coming year.
As for the decision to hold the meeting on a Sunday morning, Sun said that the Cabinet ministers are too busy during the week, so they decided to schedule it for a time when they are usually free.
