We’ve seen alot of global leaders move to deter China from attacking Taiwan lately. In a 60 Minutes interview, US President Joe Biden said the US would send troops to defend Taiwan if China attacked. Stanford University Political Scientist Kharis Templeman, who heads Stanford’s Project on Taiwan in the Indo-Pacific, explains the significance of this remark. The EU Parliament also just passed a resolution expressing solidarity with Taiwan and condemning China’s recent military drills.
