Why Taiwan's ties with Somaliland are becoming more relevant

Taiwan has maintained a close relationship with Somaliland despite the African country still being seen as part of Somalia by the rest of the world, culminating with the opening of a Taiwanese representative office in 2020. As the Horn of Africa grows in geopolitical importance, great powers including the United States are paying attention. Analyst and reporter Michele Maresca tells us the many reasons why the ties between the two countries are more relevant than ever.
