Ambassador Andrea Bowman, the Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines said her embassy just celebrated the first anniversary of the opening of SVG Embassy in Taiwan in August. It has been a very busy year, the ambassador said especially the year 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone in the world but Ambassador Andrea Bowman said they are pleased to say they have gone from strength to strength. The Embassy in Taiwan does not only help promote bilateral relations, provide consular service but also assistance to more than 100 Vincentian students and citizens living in Taiwan.

Faced with COVID-19, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan have worked hand in hand to contain the virus in the Caribbean country. Ambassador Andrea Bowman said as of September 17, SVG is free from coronavirus. in the meantime, in September, Ambassador Andrea Bowman initiated a Mandarin language learning program supported by Taiwane’s Technical Mission in a high school in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It happens that the Ambassador used to be the headmistress of this high school.
