The Legend of the Condor Heroes, a wuxia novel, by Hong Kong-based writer, Jin Yong was first serialized in newspapers from 1957 to 1959. Symphony Condor Heroes based on The Legend of the Condor Heroes was performed by Taipei Chinese Orchestra which was founded in 1979 and it became the first professional Chinese orchestra in Taiwan.
