  • 06 January, 2025
Hear in Taiwan
A-mei (張惠妹) held a New Year's Eve concert where she invited the 40,000 audience members to throw a red ribbon to welcome in the new year at midnight (pictured). The jumping and dancing at her previous concert caused tremors in the nearby area alike to that of a small earthquake. (Photo: CNA)

Finally, it's onto the birthrate in Taiwan again, and some of the very real (if sometimes humorous) reasons behind it.
