This week, we continue our conversation with Ana Maria Micu, an oil painter from Romania. One aspect of her artisitic career is really intriguing to me: she chose a medium, oil painting, that is very difficult to make a breakthrough since it's one of the oldest art media in existence. However, she maintained that, by practising intensely every day, an artists is able to achieve profound level of understanding of both oneself and the medium, which allows the artist to make a breakthrough.
