Taiwan is known for its huge variety of beverage stores, but one city stands out in terms of order volume.

Taiwanese people love tasty refreshments, and bubble tea shops are found on every corner. According to data from food delivery platforms, people in the southern city of Kaohsiung have a particular fondness for hand-shaken drinks. Among the highest in demand are Yakult green tea and fresh milk bubble tea.

The statistics show that not only does Kaohsiung have the highest number of bubble tea shops in Taiwan, but the word "beverage" is also the top searched keyword. On average, 25,000 cups of bubble tea are consumed daily. In the scorching heat of southern Taiwan, many people love ordering this type of refreshing drink.

One resident shares that they drink a cup a day and others may drink as many as three cups or more.

Furthermore, the popular delivery areas in Kaohsiung have also changed. Food delivery platform statistics show that the Sanmin, Daliao, Nanzih, and Fengshan districts rank in the top four for order volume. Some speculate that the Sanmin and Fengshan districts are seeing more delivery orders due to population growth and development in the areas in recent years. As for the Nanzih district, it relies more on food delivery due to the lower density of restaurants in the surrounding area.

With the rise of food delivery platforms and improved convenience, the bubble tea business is booming across Kaohsiung leaving people thirs-tea for another beverage.
