The 2024 Penghu Music Festival, organized by the Tourism Administration, will be held on Friday evenings for five consecutive weeks starting from August 30. The festival will combine concert-level performances of dreamy music paired with a spectacular light show.
Last year's festival attracted nearly 100,000 tourists to Penghu. This year's theme will feature 16 top-tier performers at the Guanyinting Recreation Area. The lineup includes popular artists such as Crowd Lu (盧廣仲), Lala Hsu (徐佳瑩), Nine One One (玖壹壹), Yoga Lin (林宥嘉), Accusefive (告五人), and Weibird (韋禮安), among others. Each Friday will have a unique theme, from Wind Chasing Opening Night to Shining Closing Night.
Penghu National Scenic Administration Director Hong Chih-guang (洪志光)emphasized that the festival aims to bring Taiwan's best performers to Penghu. He enthusiastically stated that by booking one flight ticket, you effectively get access to five concert tickets. The event will also feature light art installations designed around themes of islands and four seasons, illuminating Penghu's nights.
Beyond the festival, Penghu offers year-round attractions. The island boasts a 400-kilometer coastline and a rich history. Autumn events include the Penghu Autumn Festival, which features cycling and marathon activities.
